All things OutDoors for the Beginner has been developed as the resource for all who are interested in learning and discovering the great pleasure of enjoying the Great OutDoors.
Fly Fishing is my favorite pastime and I spend as much time on the local streams as I can. I learned Fly Fishing as a kid from a man that lived near me. I spent a lot of time with him learning how to cast a fly and how to tie flies too. As I work the streams today I see many older folks fly fishing but very few young people. I decided to put together a page that would provide the information a beginner would need to learn this sport. On my Fly Fishing page you will find links to the best Fly Fishing instructions I have found available on the internet. Check out each one, they are not expensive and many are downloadable via the links provided.
Trout Fishing is one of the most challenging of fishing. There are many different species of Trout all with differing environment requirements and feeding habits. The fisherman needs to know these differences to achieve the best results while on the water. Learning all you can about the species of Trout you are pursuing is not difficult, as long as you can find the information you need. On my Trout Fishing page you will find the resources you’re looking for. I have searched the internet and found these to be the best sources available.
Bass Fishing is a total thrill on a Fly Rod. My brother and I spend a lot of time on the lake fishing for Bass. He uses a traditional bass fishing outfit, spinning rod and lures, I use the Fly Rod and we compete with each other on who can catch the most and the largest of the day. Bass Fishing has brought us closer together and is quite a challenge in the weeds and Lilly pads. On my Bass Fishing page I have posted several links to some of the best Bass Fishing books I have found. These are really great resources for the Beginner and will give you the best education in Bass Fishing you can find.
